SE Laboratories, Inc. Announces Accredited Testing to CISPR-16-1-1 Specifications

Leading Independent Silicon Valley, CA calibration & repair services laboratory offers accredited testing of compliance and pre-compliance equipment to CISPR-16-1-1.

Santa Clara, CA – July 21, 2004 – SE Laboratories, Inc., a minority owned business (registered at www.ccr.gov – search for “S E LABORATORIES”), recognized as Silicon Valley’s leading calibration services laboratory, announced today the capability to provide accredited testing to CISPR-16-1-1 specifications (per International Electrotechnicial Commission).

SE Laboratories provides accredited testing of compliance and pre-compliance spectrum analyzers to evaluate conformance with the exact requirements of the CISPR 16-1-1 specifications. These tests are provided in addition to the manufacturer's full calibration procedure on a spectrum analyzer. A statement of conformance to the specification is provided with our test results.

Specifically, SE Laboratories uses a Schwarzbeck EMI pulse generator to test these analyzers in using test pulses that conform to the CISPR 16-1-1 specifications. SE Laboratories’ conformance tests provide objective evidence, auxiliary to the manufacturer’s calibration, to EMC auditors that the measuring receivers used are in compliance with the CISPR 16-1-1 standard, allowing the receivers’ use in compliance testing.

As of the time of this release, SE Laboratories is the only calibration lab in the Western United States accredited through A2LA to perform CISPR 16-1-1 testing for Bands A through D. This service is available for instruments including (but not limited to) the Agilent 8546, 8566, E740x systems, and Rohde & Schwarz ESI Series and ESN Series measuring receivers.
