SE Laboratories, Inc. Names New Sales and Marketing Manager

Jeffrey S. Artz joins SE Labs as a Sales and Marketing Manager.

Santa Clara, CA – August 28, 2007 – SE Laboratories, Inc., Silicon Valley’s leading independent calibration services laboratory, announced that Jeffrey S. Artz has joined the company as Sales and Marketing Manager.

Artz, who joined SE Laboratories in July 2007, is responsible for managing customer relationships, supervising the sales team, and developing marketing programs for the company. His overarching goal is to make it as easy as possible for clients to avail themselves of SE Laboratories’ premium calibration services. “I want to maximize the ease of use for our customers,” he said.

Because his primary goal is to help customers utilize SE Laboratories’ services, Artz makes it a point to see and experience every aspect of the business. “I’m a hands-on guy; I like to be out in the field,” he said. “In addition to management, I want to get out and meet customers, and go into the lab and watch the engineers do the work.”

Artz reports to Senior V.P. Richard Terrell. “Jeffrey not only has extensive experience in the defense industry, which provided him with a critical understanding of the level of detail and accuracy required in our highly technical industry, but he also brings a wealth of experience and expertise in sales and business, which gives him insight into what businesspeople need and how to best serve them,” said Terrell.

Before joining SE Laboratories, Artz coached other companies in sales and sales management for three years through his consultancy firm, Transition Authority LLC. Prior to that, he spent twelve years in sales, sales management and business development for a number of telecommunications firms, including AT&T and Lucent Technologies. A U.S. Navy veteran, Artz spent ten years in engineering, engineering management and technical marketing positions in the defense industry.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco and a Masters of Business Administration from San Francisco State University. Artz also serves on the board of directors for Sunnyvale Community Services and is a mentor coach for the University of San Francisco.
